OGS Lists Adirondack Green®
in "Green Cleaning Product Listing" Used By Purchasers
(Johnstown, NY) - State purchasing agents in NY are being mandated to
consider "green" - and not just the type of green involved with
financial transactions. Governor George Pataki's Executive Order 134
requires state purchasing agents to give preference to environmentally
friendly cleaning products.
In response, NY's Office of General Services (OGS) - which is
responsible for contracting goods, services and technology for
government and non-profit agencies - compiled a
"Green
Cleaning Product Listing"
for purchasers. Approved products on the list must
meet Green Seal (GS-37) or EcoLogo (Environmental Choice) standards.
Elementary and Secondary schools, along with other institutions, are
encouraged to purchase from this list.

(GS-37) Approved cleaning line was recently accepted to the OGS list.

Bathroom Cleaner, and
Glass Cleaner.
